Learning to Fly

The extension to the library covers 3 floors which are linked via single curved staircase which hugs the curved glazed façade. The building houses multiple types of spaces but all relate to the task of studying; reading and contemplating.

A degree of order

The lighting design through all of the building has worked with the principle that the task is essentially the same but with a subtle take in each area. A single type of product has been utilised throughout all of the learning spaces but used in a subtly different way.
