Cundall’s lighting design recognised twice at industry awards

IES NSW Awards IES NSW Awards

Cundall has been recognised twice at the IES NSW Lighting Design Awards with their Vivid Sydney installation Habit/At winning the Light Sculpture & Installation Award (LsiDA) award and First Sentier Investors Fit-out winning the Lighting Design Award (LiDA) award.

First Sentier Investors’ lighting has been designed to create spaces for people. The design breaks from the norm removing the standard recessed troffers seen in most offices and provided light only where it’s needed. Throughout the space areas of brightness and vertical surfaces have been highlighted to provide workers without a view a visual interest away from their screen. In the community areas, warm colour temperatures combined with table and floor lamps create an inviting atmosphere of beauty and calmness.

Habit/At was a lighting installation created for VIVID Sydney 2019 to highlight the impact plastic is having on our environment. The installation was truly immersive with the gigantic bottle top structure, waste plastic, information boards, lighting and sound scape delivering on the original concept.

”We launched Lighting design in Australia just over a year ago and we have been privileged to work on some amazing projects” said Bettina Easton, Lighting Associate “These two very different projects showcase how our expertise here in Australia combined with our creative global team can create amazing award winning projects.”
